Most communities in Georgia have a fear of violent crime. However, some are more dangerous than others. Recently, a survey on the website Roadsnacks listed the most dangerous cities in Georgia and there were some surprises.

Union City headed the danger list. Union City is in Fulton County. It has a population of around 20,000 people.

Union City also made a list of the most dangerous places in America, according to home security consultant website SafeWise. However, it was not listed as the most dangerous place in the state in that survey.

College Park made the fifth place in the national survey with East Point being named ninth. Douglas was the 13th most dangerous city in the country in that survey while Union City was listed as 17th most dangerous. The other two cities in Georgia that made the list were Americus at 20 and Brunswick at 23.
