The Times-Herald report said Lendermann was driving a Toyota Corolla eastbound on Highway 16 when he allegedly struck a Nissan Altima as it attempted to pull out onto the highway from Arnco Main Street. After hitting the Nissan, the Corolla veered off into nearby woods.

The driver of the Nissan Altima was transported by ground ambulance to Piedmont Newnan for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Media reports said data from both cars was forwarded on to the Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team. Factors such as the speed of the Corolla at the time of the accident and the direction the Altima was attempting to turn will be considered by investigators.

Our thoughts are with those who were injured in this serious wreck. We hope they make a full recovery.

Passengers who are hurt in accidents are often able to file personal injury claims against the insurance policy of an at-fault driver. You may not want to sue a friend or a family member.

However, it’s important to recover as much as you can to help pay your medical bills and meet your future needs.

If you suffered severe injuries, it’s vital to recover the most you possibly can. Particularly serious injuries like brain injuries and spinal cord injuries may require lifelong care. You should maximize all potential sources of compensation. Read about the rights of passengers here.
